On Voting Rights Joe Biden Takes His Biggest Gamble Yet
Faced with an evenly divided Senate, Biden is set to support a change to the filibuster that would allow the passage of key voting rights legislation and prevent Republicans from killing proposed elections bills. Though he isn’t expected to call for the outright abolition of the parliamentary mechanism, Biden will be taking a political risk as he endorses a “carve out” for voting rights measures. Biden’s remarks on Tuesday will directly address the filibuster and cite “repeated obstruction” by Republicans, an official who previewed the speech told The New York Times....

One Piece The Blackbeard Pirates Explained
Compared to other Yonko, Blackbeard’s crew is still somewhat mysterious. Their names and appearance are known, but many of them have yet to fight in major battles and thus their powers and oftentimes their backgrounds remain obscure. What can be said is that the nine pirates Blackbeard commands are extremely formidable foes in their own right, and shouldn’t be taken lightly. Olympics Winter Olympics 2002 Olympic Games Salt Lake City Utah Luge
Now, if a crash should happen, without any anticipation on your or my part, then an uncomfortable truth must be acknowledged by us both: crashes are pretty damn exciting. Particularly when no one gets hurt and they’re just good, rough-and-tumble, eye-filling fun. And that’s why my favorite part of the Winter Games thus far isn’t Fritz Strobl’s stunning victory in the downhill or Kelly Clark’s joyous gold medal in the halfpipe-it’s the nail-biting runs of the magnificently brave and stupendously terrible Asian lugers....
