At the same time, he has also made tremendously powerful allies by doing them favors in one way or another. As a Yonko, Luffy’s allies are a force to be reckoned with and it goes without saying that in his time of need, they will always be ready to help.
8 Barto Club
The Barto Club is led by none other than the captain of the second ship of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, “the Cannibal,” Bartolomeo. He was introduced to the fans in the Dressrosa arc where he made himself a loyal follower of Luffy. After the events of Dressrosa, he joined the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, and eventually, he also led the crew to the Phantom Island of Zou.
While he might not be the strongest of people on the seas right now, it is a given that with time, he will develop into quite a formidable pirate. Bartolomeo’s Bari Bari no Mi makes him an incredibly powerful pirate and his mercilessness has earned him a bounty of 200 million berries.
7 Beautiful Pirates
The Beautiful Pirates hail from the New World and a led by the former Prince of the Bourgeois Kingdom, Cavendish of the White Horse. He is also the Captain of the first ship of the Straw Hat Pirates and, thus, commands great respect.
In combat, he is a menace and has made quite a reputation for himself, earning a bounty of 320 million berries. His alter ego, Hakuba, makes him even stronger in combat and it goes without saying that Cavendish is one of Luffy’s strongest allies who will come to his aid in the future for sure.
6 Marco
Also known as the Phoenix, Marco is the former First Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates and the acting Captain of the remnants of the crew. He’s a legendary fighter in the One Piece world and wields the power of the Mythical Zoan Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix. During the Marineford arc, Marco proved to be strong enough to hold off Marine Admirals, including Akainu.

The Gorosei considered him to be one of the few people capable of stopping Blackbeard. What’s more, in Wano, Marco held off both King and Queen at once, which just goes to show his legendary might in combat. Without a doubt, he’s one of Luffy’s most trusted and reliable allies.
5 Trafalgar Law
Also known as the Surgeon of Death, Trafalgar Law is a world-renowned pirate hailing from the North Blue. He is a member of the Worst Generation and has made quite a great name for himself in the One Piece world. Law was partly responsible for taking down one of the Yonko of the sea, Big Mom.
He has now earned himself a bounty of 3 Billion berries, which is nothing short of staggering. While Law and Luffy have gone their separate ways, he still owes him a favor after the latter defeated Doflamingo. If ever needed, Law would certainly come to Luffy’s aid.
4 Sabo
Luffy’s brother, Sabo is the Chief of Staff of the Revolutionary Army and one of the most powerful people, second only to Dragon in terms of strength. He is strong enough to fight the likes of the Marine Admirals and has even gone on to best one of them during the Reverie.
His fame has surpassed that of even Dragon himself, and he’s being worshiped worldwide as the Flame Emperor. Sabo has vowed to come to Luffy’s aid whenever he needs him and given his pedigree, he’s certainly one of the strongest allies that the Straw Hat pirate has.
3 Kuja Pirates

In the Marineford arc, Hancock emerged from what was possibly the greatest war without a single scratch, and her strength is acknowledged by even the likes of Sengoku. Since the Kuja have great connections to Luffy, it goes without saying that they are among his strongest allies.
2 Wano Samurai
Luffy allied with the Samurai of Wano Country quite recently when the crew headed there with the aim of taking down Kaido. Freeing them from 20 years of misery, Luffy quickly became a hero in the land the legend of which was compared to the God of the Blade, Ryuma himself.
Currently, the Wano Samurai are led by Momonosuke, their Shogun. Under him are the Nine Red Scabbards and Yamato and they form an important part of Luffy’s forces.
1 Shirahoshi
The Mermaid Princess, Shirahoshi is one of the most powerful characters in One Piece. As revealed in the Fishman Island arc, Shirahoshi is the Ancient Weapon Poseidon and wields the power to control all Sea Kings.
Her ability is known to be great enough to destroy the entire world and Luffy is her guide. Her existence alone can bring the entire world to heel and now that she has gained full control over her ability, it goes without saying that she is quite likely the greatest ally that Luffy has so far.
