RELATED: One Piece: Lucci vs Luffy (Who Will Win?)
The rivalry between Luffy and Lucci goes all the way back to the Enies Lobby arc. At the time, Lucci was a member of CP9, and he was tasked with retrieving the blueprints of Pluton and taking Nico Robin into the custody of the World Government. Luffy, who is extremely protective of his crewmates wasn’t going to stand idly, instead, he declared war on CP9 and the World Government.
Lucci vs. Luffy was the last major fight of the arc, and it completely lived up to the hype. The battle between the two dragged on for quite some time, but eventually, Luffy emerged as the victor. The two fighters did not meet again until the Egghead Island arc. When Lucci saw the pirate, he lost all his cool and immediately used his new transformation, which turned out to be his devil fruit’s awakening. Lucci’s unbridled aggression has enabled him to go beyond and unlock the true potential of his devil fruit. The onlookers, including Vegapunk, were quite surprised to see Lucci’s new form. However, Lucci’s new form didn’t do much to help him against Luffy, who seemed to be enjoying himself. Lucci tried to attack him multiple times, but the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates was too quick for him. Luffy even managed to land a couple of hits on Lucci who couldn’t do anything in response. It seemed clear that if the fight continued, it wouldn’t be long before Lucci would be defeated. While they were fighting, Sentomaru appeared along with the three Seraphim. This is where things started to get more interesting.

Sentomaru’s presence was requested by Dr. Vegapunk, as the Marine owed him for saving his life when he was young. Sentomaru had the power to overrule anyone with the Authority Chip, so he wasted no time in ordering S-Bear to start attacking CP0. The Marine ordered the other Seraphim to escort the Straw Hat Pirates safely out of Egghead Island. However, Lucci sensed an opportunity to turn the battle in his favor.
Without any hesitation, he attacked Sentomaru. Judging from Lucci’s words, it seems that Sentomaru is dead or at least very badly wounded. Lucci is not the kind of person, who attacks a person to incapacitate them, instead, he always looks for an opening to land a critical hit. This suggests that Sentomaru could very likely be dead. With Sentomaru seemingly gone, CP0’s Authority Chips are once again operational.
With no one to obstruct their power, CP0 has four Seraphim at its disposal. Each Seraphim has the physical power to compete with the likes of Boa Hancock, Blackbeard, Sanji, etc. While Luffy can easily handle one or maybe even two, it seems unlikely that he will be able to take on all four at the same time, and he also has to deal with Lucci’s threat.

With the momentum changing in favor of CP0, Vegapunk and the pirates have to try and get off the island as quickly as possible. They do have the option of engaging in combat with CP0, but they will have to try and defeat them quickly as backup on the way.
Akainu has already stated that Kizaru is on his way to Egghead Island to help CP0 in their mission. Except for Luffy, none of the Straw Hats have enough power to take on the likes of a Navy Admiral. The Straw Hats had a terrible time the last time they faced Kizaru. They fought the Admiral on Sabaody, and they were completely upended by him. If Rayleigh wasn’t present, then it is very likely that the Straw Hat Pirates would have been annihilated.
One key thing to note is that Kizaru and Sentomaru seem to have a good bond. They were together on Sabaody, and both of them are close to Dr. Vegapunk. Once Kizaru finds out about Sentomaru’s condition, it is possible that the Admiral might react in a bad way. Kizaru is a follower of “Unclear Justice,” so there is a chance that seeing Sentomaru in a bad state might cause him to attack Rob Lucci.
In the chapters prior to 1069, it was revealed that Kuma was behaving erratically. It seemed that he was drawn toward something, which is why he used the power of the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi to get away from Kamabakka Island. Many fans suggest that Kuma actually sent himself to Egghead Island as he believes that Bonney is under threat from the Marines.
If Kuma’s destination is Egghead, then he will most probably fight against CP0. However, the former Shichibukai is not in the best of shape, so it is highly unlikely that he will be able to cause significant damage to CP9 or the World Government. His best bet would be to use his devil fruit powers to send the Seraphim to different places to make things easier for the Straw Hats.
