While some of these characters rely on pure strength to overwhelm their opponents, others prefer using their quickness to force an opening. The speed that they possess makes them the fastest characters in the series.
8 Trafalgar Law
Trafalgar Law is the captain of the Heart Pirates. He was introduced in the Sabaody Archipelago arc, and it didn’t take long for him to make an impression on the fans. Law has proven himself as a talented fighter who is capable of taking on the likes of Big Mom and Blackbeard.
Law’s reaction speed is quite impressive, but his ability to teleport is what makes him stand out from the rest. He can use the Ope Ope no Mi to switch places with another object instantly. As the action takes place without any delay, it is almost impossible to predict Law’s next move.
7 Enel
Enel was the main antagonist of the Skypiea arc. He was a tyrant who ruled over Skypiea with his priests. When Enel came to Skypiea, it didn’t take long for him to displace Gan Fall as the “God.” Enel’s Goro Goro no Mi played a crucial role in his victory. It enabled him to create and control lightning at will, making him a dangerous opponent.

Enel was able to keep the people of Skypiea in fear by combining Kenbunshoku Haki with his devil fruit. It enabled him to monitor the actions of all the people and punish anyone who tried to raise their voice against him. Due to his control over lightning, Enel was able to move from one place to another almost instantly.
6 Charlotte Katakuri
Charlotte Katakuri is the strongest Sweet Commander of the Big Mom Pirates. He made his debut in the Whole Cake Island arc, where he fought against Luffy. Katakuri was in total control for most of the fight, and he didn’t give Luffy even an inch.
Due to years of fighting, Katakuri has accumulated plenty of experience, so it is almost impossible to defeat him. He was able to keep up with almost all of Luffy’s attacks, which is a huge testament to his skill.
5 Silvers Rayleigh
Silvers Rayleigh is one of the few surviving legends from the era of Gol D. Roger. Rayleigh used to be the right-hand man of the Pirate King, but after the crew disbanded, Rayleigh went to live on Sabaody. During the Sabaody Archipelago arc, Rayleigh was able to keep Admiral Kizaru at bay without any problems, which is a big achievement considering his age.

When Kizaru was about to finish off the Straw Hats, Rayleigh covered a great distance in a short time to deflect the Admiral’s attack. It is also reasonable to assume that Rayleigh is quicker than Luffy’s Gear Second and possibly even Snakeman. Bearing in mind that Rayleigh was over 70 years old when he fought Kizaru and Luffy, he must have been much faster in his prime.
4 Monkey D. Luffy
Monkey D. Luffy is the captain of the Straw Hats and one of the Yonko. As the main character of the series, Luffy’s progress has been closely monitored by the fans, and it is clear that he has come a long way since he began his journey.
In his base form, Luffy is not super quick, but his devil fruit significantly boosts his speed. Luffy’s speed is at its highest when he is using Gear Fourth Snakeman. While using this form, Luffy was able to outspeed Katakuri multiple times. Furthermore, Luffy’s reaction speed has also improved considerably because of his Advanced Kenbunshoku Haki.
3 Bartholomew Kuma
Bartholomew Kuma used to be a member of the Shichibukai before he was turned into a mindless cyborg by Vegapunk. Kuma was feared throughout the world because of his strength. His big stature could trick anyone into believing that he was slow.
However, Kuma is actually quite fast, and it is mainly due to his Nikyu Nikyu no Mi. A person or object that is pawed away by Kuma is sent flying to another location, and the process comes off as instantaneous. This gives opponents the impression that he possesses the power of teleportation. Kuma can also use his devil fruit on himself to move to another place or to simply blitz his opponent.
2 Sanji
Sanji is the cook of the Straw Hats, and a member of the Monster Trio. He cemented his status as one of the quickest characters very early in the series. Sanji was able to keep up with the speed of CP9 agents who were able to use Moon Walk, which goes to show that he was already very fast.
After spending two years on Momoiro Island, Sanji’s speed only improved further. He developed Sky Walk and Blue Walk; both of these techniques allow him to move at incredibly high speeds. Sanji uses Sky Walk to travel through the sky. With Blue Walk, he is able to move as fast as a Fishman underwater.
1 Kizaru
When it comes to quickness, not many anime characters can match Kizaru. He is by far the fastest character in One Piece, and it is mainly due to his devil fruit. Kizaru possesses the Pika Pika no Mi, a Logia-type devil fruit, and it allows him to control light at will.
It also enables him to travel at the speed of light, making him faster than any other OnePiece character. So, it is extremely easy for him to chase down a person even if they have a headstart. Given his insane speed, the only way to avoid Kizaru’s attacks is by using Kenbunshoku Haki.
