While Devil Fruits are certainly useful, not every amazing power displayed in the series revolves around their usage. In fact, there are several powers that stand out on their own. From haki to specialized martial arts and plenty of other techniques, here are some of the most powerful non-Devil Fruit powers the anime has shown.
Updated on April 15, 2022, by Rei Penber: The world of One Piece has introduced several incredible fighting styles to the fans over the years that don’t rely on Devil Fruit usage. On this list, we’ve already gone over the most impressive non-Devil Fruit abilities in the story, however, with time, a lot more information on them has been made known to the fans, and each of them has some incredible battle application that makes them special in their own way. With that in mind, we’ve expanded further on the list of One Piece fighting styles and elaborated upon the entries, mentioning the special users of each power and going over their proficiency with them.
10 Jio-Ken
Jio-Ken is a martial arts style in One Piece used by Lao, a member of the Donquixote Pirates. This fighting style allows even an old man like Lao G to utilize high-speed punches and kicks in combat, making him one of the strongest fighters in his arc.
The biggest asset of this power is called qigong. This allows him to balance his spiritual energy in such a way that he can store his energy and strength from his youth to use in his old age. When he used Jio-Ken against Don Chinjao, Lao G was able to completely overwhelm him in battle.
9 Seimei Kikan
Also known as Life Return, Seimei Kikan is one of the most incredible powers introduced in the story so far. Although a lot of fighters appear to make use of this power, only two have been confirmed to be its users: Rob Lucci and Kumadori.
Seimei Kikan allows a person to manipulate every single function of their body effortlessly. Things like digestion, which are involuntary, can be controlled at will as well. By combining it with Kami-E, the user can manipulate their muscle mass to an incredible extent.
Seimei Kikan Users
This ability has, so far, been officially used by just two One Piece characters, both during the Enies Lobby arc. The first user of the ability was Kumadori, who stated that he acquired this power of years of training and got the ability to control everything on his body, including his hair.
The other user is Rob Lucci, who combines its usage with Kami-E and manipulates his hybrid forms in combat.
8 Rokushiki
Also known as the Six Powers, Rokushiki is a martial arts style that is common among the World Government officers. This style can only be awakened through intense training and only a select few can truly be called Rokushiki masters.
Rokushiki includes Tekkai (Iron Body), Soru (Shave), Geppo (Moon Walk), Shigan (Finger Pistol), Kami-E (Paper Art), and finally Rankyaku (Tempest Kick). A seventh power, called Rokuogan, is accessible only to those who have mastered all the six powers to perfection.
Rokushiki Users
A lot of Rokushiki users have appeared in One Piece over the years. Perhaps the most skilled users of this ability are the CP9 and the CP0 agents.
Currently, the most impressive Rokushiki user in the series is none other than Rob Lucci. The Rokuogan, a sign of the mastery of the Rokushiki, is only available to him.
7 Hasshoken
The fighting style of the warriors from the Kano Kingdom, Hasshoken is a powerful ability that allows the user to control vibrations around their body. In combat, these vibrations are powerful enough to generate completely unblockable shockwaves.
Even the toughest of steel shatters with the usage of Hasshoken, as it seeps into the body and then does damage. One’s level of control over Hasshoken affects its usability quite a lot.
Hasshoken Users
Hasshoken is one of One Piece’s best fighting styles that the pirates from Kano Country specialize in. As such, most of its skilled users come from that place.
Don Chinjao was an incredible user of the Hasshoken, as is his son, Don Sai.
6 Fishman Karate
Fishman Karate is yet another powerful martial arts style. This particular skill focuses on manipulating the water in one’s surroundings and producing shockwaves to do damage, making it somewhat similar to Hasshoken.
Since everyone’s body is composed of water, Fishman Karate is incredibly difficult to defend against as it penetrates the body quite easily. Even most Devil Fruit users, such as Luffy himself, have trouble defending themselves against Fishman Karate.
Fishman Karate Users
Out of all the Fishmen seen in the series, the helmsman of the Straw Hat Pirates, Jinbe, is the most impressive user of this power. His skill far exceeds the like of Arlong or Hody Jones by quite a mile.
During the Wano Country arc, Jinbe showed the skill to manipulate water that was great enough to flood a country.
5 Observation Haki
Observation Haki is one of the two main types of Haki that everyone in the One Piece world possesses. However, only some can awaken it.
This type of Haki grants an ability similar to a sixth sense to the user. With it, they can do things like anticipate attacks coming their way, carefully analyze movements, sense emotions, true intent, and even measure power levels. When trained beyond all limits, Observation Haki allows a person to look into the future itself.
Observation Haki Users
Observation Haki is an incredible power with many terrific users. This skill has been mastered by quite a lot of people over the years. So far, the best user of Observation Haki appears to be Charlotte Katakuri.
Monkey D. Luffy is yet another notable user of this power, as is Sanji of the Straw Hat Pirates.
4 Armament Haki
Armament Haki is the second type of Haki, and it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that it is one of the most crucial powers in the One Piece world. Using Armament Haki, the user can coat themselves in an invisible armor that provides great defense and drastically increases the user’s offensive capabilities.
What’s more, using Armament Haki, the user can even make contact with the real bodies of the opponents, bypassing any protection offered by their Devil Fruits. Just like Observation Haki, Armament Haki can be taken to advanced levels with the right training.
Armament Haki Users
Armament Haki is a terrific skill that most fighters in the New World possess. As such, there are a plethora of fighters with this power, yet only a handful of them have shown a great mastery of it.
The most notable users of Armament Haki so far as the Yonko such as Kaido and Big Mom. Along with them, Luffy and Rayleigh also appear to be quite skilled at its usage.
3 Lineage Factor Augmentation
Lineage Factor is the DNA of those who live in the world of One Piece, and it is often called the blueprint of life itself. Some scientists found a way to alter the lineage factor, and using it, developed some incredible powers.
Vegapunk managed to create artificial Devil Fruits, while Judge altered the lineage factor of his children to make them monstrous assassins. With their modifications, they gained extremely tough exoskeletons, a rapid healing factor, more muscle, and speed. Judge also took away the emotions of all his sons, except Sanji, whose mother fought to protect his emotions.
Lineage Factor Augmentation Users
Only the Vinsmoke Family possesses the ability to use Lineage Factor Augmentation in the story so far. As such, the likes of Reiju, Ichiji, Niji, and Yonji make extensive use of its abilities.
In the Wano Country arc, Sanji showed the ability to tap into the Lineage Factor Augmentation, and with that, he now has access to these powers as well.
2 Raid Suits
Raid Suits are an incredible piece of technology developed by the Germa Kingdom to be used by its leaders, the Vinsmoke Family. These suits are incredibly powerful, and once donned, grant great fighting abilities to anyone.
The suit itself is tough enough to survive attacks that can level a city, if not more. At the same time, they grant the ability of flight, thanks to their floating devices. On their feet, they also have acceleration devices that drastically increase the speed of the users. What’s more, the suits are fireproof, and the cape is capable of blocking bullets as well.
Raid Suit Users
The Raid Suit is a sign of the Vinsmoke Family, and they’re deployed by them in time of combat. It is believed that they get drastically stronger after donning them.
The current users of the Raid Suits are Judge, Reiju, Ichiji, Niji, and Yonji. Sanji destroyed his Raid Suit during the Wano Country arc.
1 Conqueror’s Haki
Conqueror’s Haki is one of the rarest powers in the world of One Piece, and only one in a million people can wield it. This form of Haki is available only to those who are born with it, meaning not everyone can utilize its powers.
Conqueror’s Haki allows a person to impose their willpower on others, causing those with weaker willpower to pass out. An advanced level of this power lets the user coat their bodies in it, making their attacks much stronger.
Conqueror’s Haki Users
Only a select few people seem to have access to Conqueror’s Haki and for that reason, advanced users of this skill are even rarer.
Yet, in the Wano Country arc, fans could see the likes of Kaido, Luffy, and Big Mom, make comfortable use of this ability and display their kingly ambitions. Shanks is yet another skilled user of this ability.
