Developed by NotGames and published by tinyBuild, Not for Broadcast earned widespread critical acclaim at the time of its release and managed to finish 2022 as one of the year’s highest-rated new releases. Not for Broadcast earned an impressive 89 overall rating according to review aggregate site OpenCritic, with praise for its innovative take on FMV games and sharp satire. Console gamers who have been left out will soon get to see what all the fuss is about, as Not for Broadcast is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, and PS5 on March 23.

When Not for Broadcast comes to PlayStation and Xbox consoles on March 23, it will be debuting alongside its first-ever expansion, Live & Spooky. The Live & Spooky DLC for Not for Broadcast is described by the developers as “highly replayable” and “possibly supernatural.” While the Live & Spooky DLC for Not for Broadcast is embracing a horror theme, it looks like it will be sticking with the base game’s generally comedic and satirical tone.

Not for Broadcast’s 89 overall rating makes it one of the highest-rated new video game releases of last year, and that in turn should ensure that PlayStation and Xbox gamers are plenty excited to get the chance to play it. According to OpenCritic, Not for Broadcast was the 10th highest-rated game release of 2022, and if re-releases, DLC remasters, etc. are removed from the list, Not for Broadcast finds itself as the fifth highest-rated game of 2022 overall. Despite its high review scores, though, the game was strangely absent from The Game Awards 2022 nominees.

Along with the reveal that Not for Broadcast is coming to PlayStation and Xbox, it was also confirmed that the game has managed to sell over 400,000 copies on PC. Not for Broadcast’s debut on consoles should expand its reach considerably, though it remains to be seen how well it will fare with the console crowd. As long as Not for Broadcast is able to deliver the same kind of acclaimed experience that it did on PC, it should have little problem impressing console gamers come launch in March.

Not for Broadcast is available now for PC and launches March 23 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
