Busch beer, Harvick’s sponsor for the race, will award an Orlando man $1 million if Harvick takes the checkers in the 70-lap exhibition race.
Steve Sinanan, 42, won a first-of-its-kind Busch Bucks loyalty contest in April and will cheer for Harvick along with his crew atop the No. 4 pit box.
“I’ve been to a few races at Daytona before given it’s near home, but I can’t wait for the VIP experience this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway,” Sinanan said in a statement. “And of course the potential to take home a million dollars if Harvick takes the checkered flag. I think it’s safe to say I’m the world’s biggest Kevin Harvick fan right now!”
Harvick is one of 20 drivers in the All-Star race Saturday night, which is made up of four stages (20 laps, 20 laps, 20 laps, 10 laps). The goal for all competitors: Earn a spot in the final 10-lap, 10-car stage. The winner of each of the first three stages will lock up a spot in the final stage. The drivers with the best average finish in the first three stages will make up the remaining seven spots.
Sinanan is hoping Harvick is a part of the final stage as the driver seeks his second All-Star race victory.
